By India Today Web Desk: The 26-year-old techie’s gang-rape has sparked a political row in Jharkhand. On BJP’s ‘jungle raj’ comment, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha said the state government would not let any culprit roam free and ensure speedy justice.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha spokesperson Tanuj Khatri said, “BJP should refrain from engaging in politics involving women. This is Jharkhand. We have been ensuring justice for women and in this case, too, we won’t let the culprits roam free.”
Slamming the state government for failing to ensure justice for women, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said, “The real accused are still on the run. In the last three years, Jharkhand has reported more than 5,000 rapes and has almost become the rape state of India.”
The BJP also expressed shock over the fact that the incident took place near the airport, which is a highly-secured area.
Meanwhile, Congress’s Alok Dubey and Geeta Koda condemned the incident and sought the case to be moved to a fast-track court.
