By Manisha Pandey: The on-going festivities brought traffic to a standstill on Saturday in parts of Noida and adjoining areas in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar. Festive season started today with Dhanteras.
Heavy traffic was witnessed today in Noida and Greater Noida amid the festive season. The official Twitter handle of Noida Traffic Police posted several traffic alerts for the areas including Pari Chowk in Greater Noida.

Other areas that face heavy traffic today are Jewar toll plaza and P-3 roundabout in Greater Noida. The traffic at Jewar toll plaza moved slowly because of the heavy traffic.
In view of the upcoming festivals, Noida Police Commissioner Alok Singh conducted patrolling in the main markets, crowded places under the police station Sector-20 Noida and necessary directions were given to the concerned officers to maintain the security/traffic system.
